The review session is not a full training course, but rather a brief review of procedures and does NOT include hands on practice. This classroom review is intended to supplement student's self study as part of exam preparation for the ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1 Certification Exam. 

In-Person Review class includes:

Review of the 7 ASTM Standards covered by the exam
Video demonstrations of the test procedures
Practice quizzes
Q&A and Discussion

CP-1 40th Edition: Technician Workbook will be included as part of this session. Review is provided by Karin O'Brien, P.E. 

A Concrete Field Testing Technician—Grade I is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to properly perform and record the results of seven basic field tests on freshly mixed concrete.

The program requires a working knowledge of the following ASTM test methods and practices:

C31/C31M—Making and Curing Concrete Test Specimens in the Field
C138/C138M—Density (Unit Weight), Yield, and Air Content (Gravimetric) of Concrete
C143/C143M—Slump of Hydraulic-Cement Concrete
C172/C172M—Sampling Freshly Mixed Concrete
C173/C173M—Air Content of Freshly Mixed Concrete by the Volumetric Method
C231/C231M—Air Content of Freshly Mixed Concrete by the Pressure Method
C1064/C1064M—Temperature of Freshly Mixed Hydraulic-Cement Concrete

Job Task Analysis (JTA) for ACI Certification of Concrete Field Testing Technician—Grade I

This review session is open to the general public. All paid review attendees will receive a complimentary 1 year membership to Missouri Chapter ACI.
